Hamilton, renowned for its association with the cinematic world, is embarking on an exciting venture into the gaming industry. The brand has announced a collaboration with the iconic video game franchise, Call of Duty, marking its second significant crossover into gaming since working with Far Cry 6 in 2019 and partnering with Kojima Productions for Death Stranding 2, which received the Collaboration/Partnership of the Year award at the WatchPro USA Awards 2025.

The latest venture features a limited-edition watch, the Khaki Field Automatic 38mm Call of Duty Special Edition, designed for the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. This exclusive timepiece, showcased in-game by the character Axel Vermaak, offers players a unique opportunity to equip their avatars with a virtual item that mirrors their own wristwatch.

The Khaki Field watch boasts a stainless steel casing, a black dial, and Super-LumiNova® hands, ensuring visibility in various lighting conditions. Its khaki green NATO strap reinforces its rugged, field-ready aesthetic, while the H-10 automatic movement provides an impressive power reserve of 80 hours. Only 5,000 units will be released, each featuring the Black Ops 7 emblem engraved on the caseback and presented in specially designed packaging.

Vivian Stauffer, a spokesperson for Hamilton, discussed the brand’s ambition to expand its identity beyond its notable role in the film industry and establish itself as “the watchmaker of game makers.” This transition reflects Hamilton’s evolution in storytelling, aiming to embrace gaming as a new medium for narrative exploration.

Stauffer stated, “Hamilton’s legacy has always been rooted in storytelling. With our partnership with Call of Duty, we’re expanding that narrative into a new frontier: interactive storytelling. Gaming is now one of the most immersive mediums, and by becoming ‘the watchmaker of game makers,’ we’re not just placing watches in virtual worlds – we’re helping shape the aesthetic and emotional experience of gameplay.”

Expanding from its initial gaming collaboration in 2019 with Far Cry 6, Hamilton has continued to build its presence in the gaming realm. “This evolution isn’t new; it’s a journey we began in 2019,” Stauffer remarked.

When asked about the ways in which Hamilton aims to translate the depth of character and narrative associated with their watches into gaming, Stauffer highlighted the significance of personal connection. “Players often identify with their characters, and when a watch is part of that experience – especially one they can also wear in real life – it creates a meaningful bridge between virtual and physical worlds,” she explained.

With an eye towards appealing to a younger demographic, Hamilton recognizes the importance of reaching this audience for future growth. “It’s not only about reach; it’s also about bringing people together and creating a community feeling.”

Looking ahead, Hamilton is committed to exploring deeper integrations between digital and physical experiences through future collaborations. Stauffer noted, “We are always exploring new potential partnerships which are in line with our brand values.”

While cinema has significantly contributed to Hamilton’s identity, the brand acknowledges the influence of gaming within the broader cultural landscape. Stauffer emphasized, “Cinema will always remain a vital part of who we are. But as the cultural landscape evolves, so do we… We want to support both movie and gaming studios in completing characters and enhancing storytelling through our timepieces.”
