The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) has announced plans for its upcoming jewellery exhibitions, scheduled for March 2026. The 42nd Hong Kong International Jewellery Show, highlighting finished jewellery, will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 4 to 8 March. Simultaneously, the 12th Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem and Pearl Show will be held at AsiaWorld-Expo from 2 to 6 March, showcasing loose stones and raw materials.

Both exhibitions will adopt a hybrid format, with the Click2Match AI-enabled online platform available for attendees between 23 February and 13 March. Among the key features of the finished jewellery exhibition will be specialized sections such as the Hall of Extraordinary, which will highlight luxury collections, and the Hall of Fame, dedicated to international brands. A section for gold jewellery, introduced in the previous year to cater to increasing demand, particularly from India and the ASEAN markets, will be reinstated to present innovations in gold design.

At AsiaWorld-Expo, the Diamond, Gem and Pearl Show will unveil the Hall of Fine Diamonds alongside the Treasures of Nature area that will display rubies, emeralds, and sapphires. Additionally, the Treasures of Ocean section will feature natural sea pearls and various raw materials.

In an effort to engage the community, the HKTDC will run the Hong Kong Jewellery Design Competition with the theme “Pure Elegance – Natural Beauty.” Following insights from a 2025 survey, which revealed the growing influence of big data and social media on the jewellery sector, the event will also include seminars focusing on the role of artificial intelligence in design and authentication processes.

To enhance visitor experience and reduce waiting times, the HKTDC has implemented a self-authentication feature on its marketplace mobile app. This allows buyers to quickly verify their identities by uploading identification and photographs, thereby enabling them to receive a digital entry badge for seamless access to the exhibitions.
