Full Story
The Women in Watches event is set to take place in London on 2 March, with two prominent panel discussions planned for attendees. This inaugural gathering seeks to foster candid conversations while honouring the significant roles of women in the watch industry.
Retail executives, brand leaders, and media representatives from throughout the UK’s watch sector will convene for networking and insightful discussions, coinciding with the approach of International Women’s Day.
One of the panels will address themes of leadership and representation within the watch industry. Discussions will focus on career pathways, transparency, and overcoming systemic obstacles faced by women in the sector. Key issues will include opportunities for advancement, income disparities, the presence of women in senior positions, and strategies to enhance support for those working in retail, brand management, and media.
The second panel will highlight the impact of women as consumers and drivers of market dynamics, examining their influence on watch design, purchasing habits, and brand strategies. Participants will discuss the evolution of traditional market segmentation, the role of female collectors and buyers in product innovation, and why brands and retailers are re-evaluating their approach toward women in the marketplace.
The event will commence with a networking breakfast, followed by two engaging panel discussions aimed at sparking open dialogue and providing actionable insights.
Further details on the speakers will be shared soon.
