Full Story

Richard Mille is expanding its presence in elite winter sports with a newly announced partnership with French freestyle skier Arthur de Villaucourt. The 22-year-old, who excels in mogul skiing, is aiming to break into the world’s top 30 and secure a spot at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

De Villaucourt will be sporting the RM 67-02 Automatic Extra Flat watch during competitions. This impressive timepiece weighs a mere 32 grams and is crafted from white Quartz TPT® and Carbon TPT®, designed to endure severe shocks while ensuring comfort during vigorous activities. While the benefits of wearing a watch for skiing technique may be debatable, the allure of racing with a Richard Mille on the wrist is undeniable.

This collaboration adds to Richard Mille’s established reputation in the winter sports arena, having previously partnered with notable athletes including French alpine skier Alexis Pinturault since 2017, Czech Olympic champion Ester Ledecká since 2019, Norwegian biathlete Johannes Bø from 2021, and Japanese snowboarder Tomoka Takeuchi since 2018. The brand’s focus on precision and performance aligns seamlessly with the demands of high-impact sports.

Currently competing on the FIS World Cup and European Cup circuits, de Villaucourt has recently made his return following an injury. He is recognised for his remarkable technical prowess and speed in mogul skiing, an arena that requires a blend of strength, balance, and precision.

A passionate admirer of the brand prior to this partnership, de Villaucourt connected with Maxime Guenat, managing director of Guenat SA Montres Valgine, in a chance encounter, leading to an ongoing relationship he describes as “a dream come true.”

Amanda Mille, director of brand and partnerships at Richard Mille, reflected on de Villaucourt’s qualities, stating, “We were amazed by Arthur’s serenity, humility, and maturity. Beyond his talent, he possesses the rare ability to inspire through his attitude. By partnering with an athlete who is helping move his discipline forward, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting talent who are shaping the future.”
