A recent announcement revealed the distinguished women who will participate in the panel discussions at the forthcoming Women in Watches event in Miami.

Scheduled for 6 November at the TIMELUXE Worldcenter boutique, the event aims to foster an environment for open dialogue while honouring the contributions and accomplishments of women within the watch industry.

Men are also welcomed and encouraged to attend, as the morning is set to convene leaders from retail, brand executives, and professionals in the media across the American watch sector. The focus will be on exchanging ideas, creating networks, and addressing critical topics in the industry.

The engagement kicks off with the panel titled “Women in Watchmaking: Careers in the Watch Industry,” which will delve into career opportunities for women and discuss how the sector can establish clearer pathways for future talent.

Moderated by WatchPro editor May Garland, this panel will feature Carolina Navarro, deputy director of the Horological Society of New York, WOLF brand manager Helen Kirkup, chief marketing officer of Timex Shari Fabiani, and Brittany Garcia, president of Longines in the US. This discussion will assess advancements in representation, identify existing barriers, and explore strategies for attracting and retaining female talent in the industry.

The second panel, named “Designing for Her: What Women Want From Watches Now,” will focus on the influence of evolving preferences on watch design, marketing, and retail approaches.

Ella Kirby, WatchPro’s digital editor, will lead the conversation alongside journalist Taylor Stoddard, Madaluxe vice president Simona Garcia, Marli founder and creative director Maral Artinian, and Sophy Rindler, founder of the RedBar Miami chapter. The discussions are expected to cover topics such as smaller sizes, jewellery-inspired styles, vibrant colours, and the acceptance of traditionally masculine watches by female collectors. Additionally, the panel will explore whether dedicated women’s collections are still necessary or if brands should instead focus on expanding choices for women.
