Full Story
Versace is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its DV One watch with a special edition release, limited to just 240 pieces. This commemorative timepiece marks two decades since the original was first unveiled.
Launched in 2005, the DV One was a landmark creation for Versace, representing the brand’s inaugural foray into high-tech ceramic watchmaking. Its design epitomised the boldness of the early 2000s, characterized by a striking case, sleek black finish, the iconic Medusa logo, and intricate Greca elements, all of which helped establish Versace’s distinctive stance in the realm of Swiss luxury watches.
The new 2025 edition retains the ceramic construction of its predecessor while incorporating significant enhancements. The watch features a 40mm black ceramic case complemented by a coordinated ceramic bracelet. Notably, it now hosts a Swiss-made automatic movement, the Landeron DP24, a notable departure from the mechanisms used in previous DV One models.
Modifications are also evident on the watch dial, which distinguishes itself from the original. It showcases a black enamel base adorned with a gold-tone 3D Barocco motif inspired by Versace’s rich design history. The dial includes four diamonds as hour markers, with an additional diamond set in the crown, while the Versace logo is positioned at 3 o’clock, adding a touch of opulence to the design.
Visible through the caseback is a black rotor engraved with the phrase “DV ONE – 20th Anniversary Limited Edition,” underscoring the exclusivity of this release.
The anniversary edition is priced at $4,550 and is available for purchase on the Versace website.
