Maurice Lacroix has unveiled a limited edition of its AIKONIC collection, featuring a striking Forest Green model crafted from a combination of lightweight titanium, ceramic, and uniquely patterned carbon fibre for the dial.
This distinctive timepiece showcases a vivid green ceramic bezel alongside a carbon composite dial, composed of short carbon fibres embedded in pigmented epoxy resin. The irregular arrangement of the fibres results in a one-of-a-kind surface, ensuring that every dial is uniquely crafted.
The watch features a 43mm case constructed from sandblasted titanium, finished with a black DLC coating. This new addition to the AIKONIC range was revealed during the Geneva Watch Days in September, where the brand also introduced six additional Frozen Carbon models, some incorporating materials like bronze and Damascus steel.
The dial is enhanced by hour markers and faceted hands in anthracite, both treated with white Super-LumiNova for visibility. A date window is positioned at the 3 o’clock mark.
At its heart lies the ML1000 calibre, an automatic movement designed in partnership with Swiss movement specialist Soprod. This mechanism operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, offers a power reserve of 60 hours, and boasts an accuracy of ±4 seconds per day.
The intricate movement can be admired through a sapphire exhibition back, which showcases exquisite finishing touches such as Côtes de Genève, snailing, and blued screws.
Additionally, the watch comes fitted with a black bi-rubber strap that features a textured nylon effect, along with Maurice Lacroix’s patented ML Easy Change system for effortless strap swaps.
Only 500 pieces of the AIKON-IC Frozen Carbon Deep Forest are available globally, with a retail price of £3,450 in the UK and $4,550 in the US.
