Since its inception in 1993, the Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show has evolved significantly, transitioning from a small gathering to a prominent fixture in the global jewellery calendar. The biannual event has celebrated over 55 successful iterations, drawing upwards of 87,000 visitors each time, including retailers, wholesalers, collectors, fashion buyers, and enthusiasts alike.

The event has garnered attention not just for its commercial appeal but also for its engaging features. The exhibition has consistently provided a vital platform for trade and quality craftsmanship in gold, diamonds, and luxury timepieces.

The latest edition will span 30,000 square metres and is anticipated to feature contributions from 1,800 designers and industry professionals. The showcase will highlight a variety of luxurious jewellery collections, alongside modern designs reflecting global fashion trends. Notable representation will come from countries including the UAE, Italy, India, and the United States. National pavilions from leading countries like Singapore and Thailand will enrich the diversity of offerings, with Italy presenting over 50 exhibitors.

The previous exhibition achieved record results, welcoming 87,000 visitors from 106 nations and generating total sales of AED 105 million (approximately USD 28.6 million). Additionally, it attracted 1,400 trade professionals from 63 countries, underscoring its significance as a hub for buyers and brands in the luxury sector.

Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, noted the show’s growth reflects its strategic importance to the industry. He stated that it not only facilitates connections between local entrepreneurs and international markets but also serves as a platform for innovation and emerging trends in jewellery.

This year’s show will also feature a comprehensive programme of workshops and discussions aimed at imparting best practices in gold and jewellery manufacturing. These sessions will provide valuable insights for attendees seeking to enhance their business acumen and leadership skills.
