This prestigious event is expected to feature over 500 exhibitors from 21 different countries, solidifying its status as a leading trade fair for gold and jewellery in the region.
The Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show, which began in 1993, has evolved significantly from its inaugural edition, which showcased only a few participants. Now held biannually, the exhibition has a rich history comprising more than 55 editions and has become the marquee event at the Expo Centre Sharjah. It attracts upwards of 87,000 visitors per event, including retailers, wholesalers, collectors, and fashion purchasers.
In addition to its commercial focus, the exhibition has gained recognition for unique attractions and memorable experiences. Previous shows have included giveaways of luxury cars, stunning diamond pendants, and exclusive exhibitions such as the world’s largest gold ring. Beyond these highlights, the event provides a vital platform for trade interactions, featuring a wide array of fine craftsmanship in gold, diamonds, pearls, gemstones, and luxury watches.
Organised by the Expo Centre Sharjah in partnership with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the upcoming edition will cover 30,000 square meters and host around 1,800 designers, manufacturers, and industry professionals. Noteworthy participation is expected from countries like the UAE, Italy, India, Turkey, the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, Japan, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Lebanon, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain, and Kuwait. New to this edition are brands from Australia, Myanmar, and Pakistan, reflecting the expanding global influence of the show. National pavilions will highlight key players from India, Singapore, and Thailand, with Italy providing over 50 exhibitors. The event promises a diverse range of collections, from classic gold and diamond pieces to modern designs that resonate with current fashion trends.
The previous edition of the Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show saw record attendance, drawing 87,000 attendees from 106 countries and achieving sales of AED 105 million (approximately USD 28.6 million). It also engaged 1,400 trade professionals from 63 countries, reinforcing its appeal as a primary destination for buyers, investors, and luxury brands.
Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, noted that the sustained growth of the show indicates its essential role within the industry. He stated that the event facilitates connections between local entrepreneurs and global markets, while serving as a venue for innovation, creativity, and trend insights. Al Midfa expressed hopes that this year’s edition will deliver a unique experience that blends exclusivity with valuable sector knowledge, guiding participants toward future trends.
Complementing the commercial exhibitions, the upcoming event will include an extensive schedule of workshops and industry-specific sessions. These initiatives aim to disseminate best practices in gold and jewellery manufacturing, equipping attendees with practical skills to enhance their business operations and competitive standing. The educational focus underscores a commitment to professional development and leadership in the sector.
Open to both industry professionals and the general public, the exhibition will run from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, and from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Friday. The Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show continues to be one of the most eagerly awaited events on the regional calendar, capturing global attention with its blend of luxury, innovation, and craftsmanship.
