The Goldsmiths’ Centre has released its new season of Creative Links, its monthly programme of talks and networking events.
Designed to support and upskill the jewellery and silversmithing community, the Goldsmiths’ Centre’s series brings together designers, makers and craftspeople from across the UK and internationally, both in-person and online.
Led by leading sector experts, each session offers the opportunity to develop business skills, exchange ideas, explore industry trends and build professional connections.
Guest speakers for 2026 include Brussels-based ethical metals champion Saskia Shutt, who will explore the considerations makers face when choosing between recycled and mined gold.
Luxury brand director Elizabeth Galton will help designer-makers and creative founders define and refine their ideal customer personas, supporting stronger decision-making around product development, pricing, branding, storytelling and marketing.
Business and training consultant Zoe Cooper will examine the psychology of online sales, while industry expert Liz Olver will address the fundamentals of range planning.
Running a creative business requires more than technical skill and design expertise, thus the programme responds to insights gathered through the Goldsmiths’ Centre’s Business Diagnostic and Advice sessions and feedback and proposals received direct from its community, ensuring each event reflects the evolving needs of jewellery and silversmithing businesses.
In 2025, over 560 people from across the UK attended these events, demonstrating strong demand for practical business support, industry insights and opportunities to connect with peers.
Each event combines expert-led talks and live Q&As with facilitated networking discussions, creating valuable opportunities for makers and creative business owners to share experiences and learn from one another.
Charlotte Dew, head of public programmes at the Goldsmiths’ Centre, said: “Creative Links has given makers and creative business owners access to the knowledge, connections and confidence they need to grow since 2018.
“Shaped by conversations with experts and businesses from the sector, the programme delivers practical insights while creating valuable opportunities to learn from experts and peers.
