Louis Vuitton has introduced the Monterey Ceramic ‘Charm’ Watch at its Men’s Spring/Summer 2027 fashion event in Paris, signalling a new era for one of its iconic timepiece ranges.
The launch features charm tags that accompany two prominent runway outfits, showcasing a modern interpretation of the recently updated Monterey design, now crafted from contemporary ceramic materials. This release follows the 2025 revival of the Louis Vuitton Monterey crafted in yellow gold, which revisited the brand’s inaugural wristwatch, characterised by its Grand Feu enamel dial and featuring an in-house automatic movement.
Available in two ceramic finishes, a vibrant green and a sleek black, the latest designs maintain the collection’s hallmark pebble-shaped case and come equipped with the in-house LFTMA01.02 automatic movement. These pieces pay homage to the LV II model from 1988, a collaboration with designer Gae Aulenti, which has garnered affection from collectors as the Monterey.
Louis Vuitton emphasises that these new additions “combine exceptional watchmaking expertise with innovative material mastery.” They assert that “with their distinctive pebble-shaped case, in-house automatic LFTMA01.02 movement, and striking graphic details, these new watches embody the House’s boldness and contemporary elegance.”
The introduction of these timepieces also reflects a resurgence of interest in the Monterey line, notably highlighted by actor Jeremy Allen White’s appearance at the fashion show, where he sported a Louis Vuitton Monterey watch.
The Monterey Ceramic collection is set to launch on 26 September 2026. Additionally, Louis Vuitton has hinted that the runway showcase provides just a glimpse of more exciting updates to the Monterey range, which are anticipated to be revealed later this autumn.
