Sowind Group, the owner of renowned luxury watch brands Girard-Perregaux and Ulysse Nardin, has been honoured by Deloitte Private for the third year running as one of Switzerland’s Best Managed Companies.
This accolade marks a significant milestone, as the Group was the first in Switzerland’s luxury sector to receive this recognition in 2024, successfully maintaining the title in both 2025 and 2026 as well.
The Deloitte Private Best Managed Companies initiative evaluates Switzerland’s premier private firms based on various criteria, including strategic direction, management excellence, innovation, and corporate culture. This Swiss programme is part of a broader global initiative by Deloitte that has been in place for three decades across over 40 nations.
Patrick Pruniaux, who serves as co-founder, chairman, and CEO of Sowind Group, expressed pride in the Group’s achievements, stating that the honour is a testament to its entrepreneurial spirit and long-term vision.
“I am particularly honoured to receive this distinction for the third consecutive year. It recognises the strength of a business model built on agility, adaptability, resilience, and a strong sense of ownership across the organisation,” Pruniaux remarked. He added that the ability to maintain focus on long-term goals while continuously evolving is crucial for their success in an ever-changing industry.
“Our size allows us to remain agile, but our true success hinges on the entrepreneurial mindset that permeates the Company,” he explained. “We encourage everyone to look beyond their immediate tasks, take initiative, and drive the Group’s ongoing development. This shared engagement, coupled with a clear strategic framework, helps us advance while staying true to our core values and heritage.”
The Group highlighted that this award underscores not only the robustness of its business model but also its resilience in a competitive market and its commitment to advancing its two historic watch manufactures.
Nestled in the Swiss Jura mountains, Girard-Perregaux and Ulysse Nardin boast a combined legacy of more than 400 years in watchmaking. As some of the oldest independent manufacturers in haute horlogerie, these maisons have played a pivotal role in shaping the industry through innovative techniques and unique designs while upholding traditional Swiss craftsmanship.
Currently, around 400 skilled artisans and specialists contribute to the Group, blending centuries-old skills with modern watchmaking practices to create exquisite mechanical timepieces.
