This significant international exhibition is poised to showcase over 500 exhibitors from 21 different countries, reaffirming its status as a vital event within the gold and jewellery sector in the region.
Established in 1993, the Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show has evolved from a small gathering into a key fixture in the global jewellery industry calendar. Now organised biannually, it boasts a history of more than 55 successful editions and has become the marquee event at Expo Centre Sharjah. The show regularly attracts upwards of 87,000 visitors, including jewellery retailers, wholesalers, collectors, and discerning consumers.
The event is also distinguished by its unique attractions and immersive experiences. Previous editions have included high-profile giveaways, such as luxury cars and prestigious diamond pendants, alongside exclusive displays, notably featuring the world’s largest gold ring. Beyond the allure, the exhibition acts as a vital marketplace, promoting trade and highlighting exquisite craftsmanship in gold, diamonds, pearls, gemstones, and luxury watches.
The upcoming edition, coordinated by Expo Centre Sharjah in partnership with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will span 30,000 square metres and welcome more than 1,800 participants from across the jewellery and watch industries. It will showcase strong representation from nations like the UAE, Italy, India, Turkey, the United States, and several others, including newcomers like Australia, Myanmar, and Pakistan—signifying the event’s expanding international reach. Notably, national pavilions from India, Singapore, and Thailand will feature, with Italy contributing over 50 exhibitors, ensuring a diverse range of collections from traditional to modern designs.
The previous edition set records, attracting 87,000 visitors from 106 countries and achieving sales of AED 105 million (approximately USD 28.6 million). It also involved 1,400 trade professionals from 63 countries, solidifying its reputation as a prime destination for stakeholders in the luxury jewellery market.
Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, noted that the sustained growth of the show underscores its strategic importance to the industry. He remarked that the Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show is vital for linking local entrepreneurs with global markets while serving as a venue for innovation and trend forecasting. Al Midfa added that the upcoming edition will strive to provide an experience that blends exclusivity with insights, assisting participants in navigating new trends in the sector.
Alongside the exhibitions, this year’s event will offer a comprehensive series of workshops and sessions focusing on industry best practices in jewellery manufacturing. These initiatives are designed to equip attendees with valuable knowledge to enhance their business acumen and competitiveness while fostering leadership within the sector.
Open to both industry professionals and the general public, the exhibition will operate from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, and from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Friday. With its unique blend of luxury, innovation, and artistry, the Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show is highly anticipated in the regional events calendar, capturing the interest of audiences worldwide.
