Antiquorum is set to re-enter the US auction scene with a significant sale in New York on October 18, which will showcase eight watches by F.P. Journe alongside unique timepieces from esteemed brands in the horology world.

Titled the Important Modern & Vintage Timepieces auction, the event will unfold at The Ned NoMad New York, following recent auctions held in cities like Geneva, Hong Kong, Monaco, and Milan. This move indicates Antiquorum’s strengthened focus on the American market, backed by its office in Miami Beach.

Highlighting the auction is the F.P. Journe Centigraphe Souverain, notable for its striking salmon-coloured dial and platinum casing. This chronograph features Journe’s unique mechanical movement and is one of the eight selected pieces from the renowned watchmaker set to be auctioned.

Another standout item anticipated to attract attention is the Patek Philippe Nautilus Ref. 5711/1R-001, crafted from 18K pink gold and distributed by Tiffany & Co. This watch is distinguished by its classic Nautilus silhouette and comes complete with its original packaging.

The auction will also cater to enthusiasts of modern independent watchmaking, presenting the Richard Mille RM 35-02 Rafael Nadal, which boasts a carbon-fibre case and a skeletonised dial.

In addition to these high-profile offerings, the sale will feature rare pieces from independent watchmakers and a variety of well-maintained clocks.

Bidders will have the option to participate in person, or via online, telephone, and absentee bids.

Antiquorum expressed enthusiasm over this venture, stating, “We are thrilled to reconnect with the US market, and we are re-entering with a long-term vision, strengthening our global presence after celebrating Antiquorum’s 50th anniversary last year. A milestone that underlines our heritage, our credibility, and our ongoing commitment to serving watch collectors around the world.”

The auction house’s experts, equipped with decades of experience, will be ready to assist as it embarks on what it considers a new chapter in the United States.

The auction will commence at 11am on Sunday, October 18, at The Ned NoMad New York, located at 1170 Broadway. A preview for interested bidders is scheduled for October 16 from 2pm to 5pm and October 17 from 1pm to 6pm.
