WatchPro is set to expand its Women in Watches initiative, following successful events in London and New York, by hosting a new gathering in Miami. This event will occur in conjunction with the TIMELUXE Watch Summit.

The breakfast gathering aims to unite women from various sectors of the watch industry, fostering an environment for networking, dialogue, and inspiration. Attendees will have the chance to connect with peers at all stages of their careers, enabling them to share insights and establish meaningful relationships. Emerging professionals will particularly benefit from interactions with leading figures in the industry, who will discuss their personal journeys, challenges faced, and accomplishments.

The event’s diverse audience will include retail leaders, brand executives, watchmakers, and media representatives, showcasing the myriad career paths available in the watch sector and underscoring the significant contributions women are making within this arena.

An engaging morning is planned, starting with a networking breakfast, followed by two panel discussions that will delve into topics such as career development, representation, design, and the evolving preferences of female consumers in watch buying.

The first panel, titled “Women in Watchmaking,” will explore the various career pathways available to women in the industry and investigate how the sector can enhance opportunities for aspiring professionals. Featuring women who have carved successful careers across multiple facets of the watch industry, the discussion will celebrate achievements and address existing barriers. Key questions will include how the industry can better attract and support the next generation of female talent.

The second panel, “Designing for Her,” will focus on the shifting demands of female consumers and how brands are adapting their offerings. Industry experts will analyse the influence of women’s preferences on design, marketing, and retail strategies. Key topics will include the trend towards smaller sizes, jewellery-inspired styles, bold colours, and the growing adoption of traditionally male-oriented designs by female collectors. The discussion will also scrutinise whether dedicated women’s collections remain essential or if empowering women with greater choices is the future of watch design.

With an expected attendance of over 80 participants, Women in Watches Miami promises valuable opportunities to engage with industry peers, explore various career trajectories, and deliberate on measures to enhance prospects for women in the field.

This event transcends simple networking; it aims to celebrate the contributions of women in shaping the industry and facilitate connections that can influence its future. Participation is open to men as well, promoting a collaborative environment for learning and discussion across the sector.
