Arena Club, co-founded by former baseball star Derek Jeter, has introduced a new offering called Time Boxes that allows collectors to digitally unveil authenticated luxury watches.
The Time Boxes feature prestigious brands such as Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, and Cartier. After revealing their watches, users are given the option to either keep, store, or sell them back immediately.
The concept is reminiscent of opening a trading card pack. Prior to purchase, the odds are clearly outlined, and the sought-after watches are categorised by tiers. Each box contains a selection of both new and pre-owned watches that cater to various budget ranges.
Once a watch is revealed, buyers can opt to keep it within the Arena Club platform’s vault, request shipping, or sell it back for immediate liquidity at 90% of its estimated market value. This arrangement provides a level of flexibility and assurance that is scarce in the luxury watch market.
