The Vintage Rally Timer chronograph by Wind Vintage and True North Watch Co has garnered attention as one of the notable collaborations of 2024, according to GQ magazine, and has received praise from Shark Tank investor Kevin O’Leary during a segment on Fox News Business.
Originally released at $390, the latest version features a vibrant aesthetic shift from its initial black dial adorned with brightly coloured counters to a fresh palette of pastel orange, mauve, yellow, and green. Priced at $490, this new variant is named “Dreamsicle” and reflects Wind Vintage CEO Eric Wind’s fondness for subtle orange hues and his daughters’ taste for pastels.
In a tribute to Mr Wind’s birth year, only 1,986 pieces will be produced. Shane Russeck, the founder of the Los Angeles-based True North design studio, expressed enthusiasm for this fourth collaboration, stating, “To reimagine our Vintage Rally Timer in a fun new colourway with a production run honouring Eric’s birth year of 1986 has been special.”
Earlier this year, Mr Wind had the extraordinary opportunity to meet Pope Leo XIV in Vatican City, presenting him with the watch. He shared that witnessing the Pope smile at the timepiece was a fulfilling affirmation of his design intentions.
Moreover, a portion of the proceeds from each sale will contribute to youth ministry initiatives led by Bishop Manuel de Jesús Rodriguez, J.C.D. in Palm Beach County.
The watch features a sturdy steel case measuring 37mm by 13.8mm, complemented by domed sapphire-coated mineral crystal and a tachymeter bezel. It operates using a Seiko (SII) VK63 Mechaquartz movement, which integrates quartz technology for primary functions alongside a mechanical module for the chronograph.
The Wind Vintage x True North Vintage Rally Timer IV “Dreamsicle” will officially be available for purchase on Friday, October 2, 2026, at 1pm ET through truenorthcollections.com, with a limit of one watch per order.
