The anticipated discontinuation of the Rolex GMT Master II Pepsi has led to a somewhat muted reaction, as its removal from available stock was largely expected by enthusiasts and collectors alike during the Watches and Wonders event.

The speculation intensified in early 2026 when the timepiece began to disappear from the online inventories of select retailers managing Rolex’s listings, although it remained visible on others.

Sources from authorised dealers, who wished to remain anonymous, revealed to WatchPro that they received indications not to expect any further shipments of the popular model.

This information triggered a surge in demand, resulting in a remarkable price increase of over 23% in just three months, bringing the average price to more than £21,000, as noted by EveryWatch.

Currently, some listings for the GMT Master II Pepsi have surpassed the £30,000 mark, although the typical sale price seems to have stabilised in recent days.

“It resembles a volatile stock market. Traders anticipated a price surge following rumours of the Rolex discontinuation and are now keen to capitalise on their foresight,” remarked one dealer to WatchPro.

“The current pricing may dissuade further purchases. Buyers are likely to either realise their profits or hold onto the items for potential long-term value.”
