Breitling has recently marked a significant milestone as the Official Timepiece Partner of the National Football League (NFL) by celebrating the league’s most outstanding talents at the 15th Annual NFL Honors ceremony held on 5 February at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco.
During this prestigious event, Breitling presented bespoke Chronomat B01 42 watches to several award winners, including recipients of the Associated Press (AP) honours, the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award, and the brand-new Protector of the Year accolade.
A standout feature of the evening was the unveiling of a unique 18K red gold Chronomat, specially crafted for the AP Most Valuable Player of the year.
As an Official Sponsor of NFL Honors, Breitling played a crucial role in the event’s live broadcast. Viewers were treated to an in-depth segment that illuminated the intricacies of Breitling’s watchmaking process, showcasing the craftsmanship and technical prowess that characterise the custom Chronomat timepieces.
Each recipient at the ceremony was gifted a unique timepiece from the celebrated Chronomat range. Nine of the honourees received a stainless steel Chronomat B01 42, complete with a black rubber strap. These watches featured the engraving “NFL HONORS 2026” on the caseback, alongside the NFL Honors shield etched on the sapphire crystal.
The AP Most Valuable Player was awarded a distinct Chronomat B01 42 made from 18K red gold, which bore the engraving “2025 NFL MVP” along with the NFL shield on its caseback.
Each of the Chronomat B01 42 watches showcased nearly 200 diamonds, amounting to a total of 0.9 carats. These watches are powered by the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01, offering a commendable 70-hour power reserve, embodying the brand’s legacy and commitment to innovation since the Chronomat’s launch in 1983.
Georges Kern, CEO of Breitling, remarked, “NFL Honors celebrates the athletes and coaches who define the season. Breitling is proud to mark this occasion with timepieces that embody precision, performance, and enduring style. These custom watches are more than instruments of time. They are symbols of success, crafted to honour the dedication, resilience, and passion that define these extraordinary individuals.”
Thierry Prissert, President of Breitling in the United States, expressed pride in their participation, stating, “We’re proud to take part in NFL Honors for the first time. This collaboration represents a series of exciting milestones for Breitling in the US. It’s a powerful platform to highlight our dedication to precision, performance, and individuality, values that strongly align with the spirit of the NFL.”
Looking ahead, Breitling plans to engage with other key NFL events throughout the season, including Super Bowl LX, ensuring a strong presence at significant moments in the league’s calendar.
