Phillips has launched what it claims to be the highest-value online watch auction ever held by its New York Watches division, featuring nearly 90 lots available for bidding until October 9.
Demand for auctioned timepieces appears robust, with Phillips’ upcoming sale, The New York Sessions, Fall 2026, poised to build on record-breaking outcomes from earlier in the year across Geneva, Hong Kong, and New York.
Among the notable offerings is a rare Voutilainen 28Sport Limited Edition, projected to fetch between $120,000 and $240,000. This model, available in stainless steel, is distinguished by its unique onyx centre dial and a blue guilloché hour track, with only eight examples crafted.
Other significant items include a complete collector’s set of the Patek Philippe Ref. 5270J, estimated to reach between $80,000 and $160,000, alongside a platinum Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Ref. 116506 “Platona”, which has an estimated value of $70,000 to $140,000. The Rolex model is notable for its diamond-set indices, an ice blue dial, and a chestnut brown Cerachrom bezel.
Additional auction highlights comprise an F.P. Journe Octa Quantième Perpétuel, estimated at $70,000 to $140,000; two A. Lange & Söhne Datograph Perpetual watches; and a Jaeger-LeCoultre Atmos Marqueterie “Gustav Klimt”, also valued at $70,000 to $140,000.
Paul Boutros, Deputy Chairman and Head of Watches for the Americas, remarked: “This sale reflects the extraordinary momentum we’ve seen throughout the year across our global watch auctions. Following a spring season of record-setting results in Geneva, Hong Kong, and New York, collectors remain highly focused on the intersection of independent innovation, blue-chip watchmaking, and exemplary preservation.”
He further added, “The watches featured in this sale embody those qualities, from an exceptionally rare Voutilainen 28Sport that highlights the enduring appeal of independent watchmaking to landmark references from Patek Philippe and Rolex that continue to define their categories. Together, they make this the strongest online watch auction ever presented by our New York team.”
