Signet Jewelers has announced its financial results for the fourth quarter, reporting revenue of $2.35 billion (£1.84 billion), a slight decline of 0.7% in same-store sales. For the full fiscal year, the company achieved sales of $6.81 billion (£5.34 billion), representing a 1.3% increase.
CEO J.K. Symancyk noted, “FY26 delivered over a point of comp growth driven by heightened focus on our three largest brands – Kay, Zales, and Jared.” Looking forward, he indicated that fiscal year 2027 will prioritise enhancing core business performance through improved brand differentiation, increased customer outreach, and a more integrated shopping experience both in stores and online.
Additionally, the operating income for the fourth quarter surged to $318.3 million (£249.7 million), with the year-end figure reaching $393.1 million (£308.4 million). This increase is attributed to better margins and effective cost management strategies.
Joan Hilson, the chief operating and financial officer, highlighted that “We delivered FY26 Adjusted Operating Income growth, led by gross margin expansion, at the high end of our guidance.” She also mentioned that for the upcoming fiscal year, the company anticipates top-line growth alongside margin enhancement, which takes into consideration current commodity prices, tariffs, and consumer trends.
Signet reported generating $525 million (£412 million) in free cash flow, closing the year with a healthy cash balance of $874.8 million (£686.1 million) and managing to maintain inventory levels in the face of rising costs.
The company has announced an increase in its quarterly dividend to $0.35 (£0.27) per share, marking a nearly 10% rise, continuing a trend of increasing dividends for the fifth consecutive year.
For fiscal 2027, Signet Jewelers forecasts sales to be in the range of $6.6 billion (£5.18 billion) to $6.9 billion (£5.42 billion), alongside ongoing margin improvements and strategic changes, including adjustments related to the James Allen brand.
