Rolex has communicated to its authorised retailers that there will be no further shipments of the sought-after steel GMT Master II featuring the iconic red and blue Pepsi bezel, as confirmed by WatchPro.
Customers currently on waiting lists have been made aware that they will need to look at different models.
This development concludes a lengthy period of speculation surrounding the availability of this popular watch.
Earlier reports from 2023 indicated potential production challenges faced by Rolex, highlighting issues with elevated failure rates associated with the red and blue ceramic bezels.
These issues have contributed to the high prices on the secondary market for the Pepsi model, surpassing those of other steel timepieces in the GMT lineup.
According to EveryWatch, the median dealer price for the Pepsi model recently surged from £24,000 at the beginning of the year to £25,100 currently.
The official retail price for this model stands at £9,850.
Additionally, the alternative Batgirl model, which features a black and blue bezel, has seen substantial price increases this year, with median dealer prices approaching £20,000—over double its retail value.
Speculation regarding the discontinuation of the Pepsi model intensified in early February when the reference 126710BLRO in Oyster Steel disappeared from several authorised dealer websites in the United States.
