Casio America has unveiled the G-SHOCK MR-G Hanada-iro (MRGB2100D-2A), the latest entry in the esteemed MR-G collection.

This new model draws inspiration from Hanada-iro, a traditional shade of blue in Japan, aiming to capture the serene ambience of historical temple settings at dawn. The design encapsulates concepts of tranquility, balance, and quiet resilience.

The significance of this colour is rooted in Japanese culture, symbolising calmness, purity, and strength, while introducing a fresh dial interpretation within the MRGB2100 series that seamlessly fuses classic aesthetics with contemporary design principles.

Notably, the watch is equipped with a uniquely developed blue vapour-deposited dial, which changes in hue according to lighting and viewing angle. This feature is enhanced by the use of reflecting multi-guard structural components, providing layers of contrast and depth.

Crafted from a titanium alloy, the case and bracelet are finished with a titanium carbide coating. The multi-component bezel supports exceptional shock resistance while maintaining a sleek profile, and the sapphire crystal boasts a non-reflective coat for enhanced readability.

As a member of the MR-G line, the Hanada-iro stands out as a testament to G-Shock’s commitment to quality, melding traditional Japanese style with cutting-edge engineering and meticulous craftsmanship.

The MRGB2100D-2A is loaded with advanced features, including shock resistance, magnetic resistance, water resistance to 200 metres, Bluetooth connectivity, Multi-band 6 radio-controlled timekeeping, and Tough Solar charging. Furthermore, a companion app allows for functions such as automatic time adjustment, watch status monitoring, and phone locating capabilities.

The watch is now available for purchase at a price of $4,700 (£3,428) through selected G-Shock retailers, the brand’s Soho location, and its official online platform.
