Frederique Constant has announced its partnership with the burgeoning sport of padel, which is being hailed as the world’s fastest-growing athletic endeavour and projected to reach a valuation of $8 billion by 2033.
Currently, there are around 30 million individuals playing padel globally, with approximately 20 million participants in the United States alone. There is ongoing discussion about the possibility of padel being included in the Olympic Games.
The United States is at the forefront of this sport, hosting the Pro Padel League (PPL), established in 2023. This league features ten teams from the US, Canada, and Mexico, showcasing the sport’s rapid growth in North America.
The 2026 season of the PPL is set to begin from July 9-12 in New York, followed by events in Los Angeles in August, and subsequently in Playa del Carmen and Guadalajara, Mexico, in September and November, before concluding with The City’s Cup Finals in Miami in December.
Frederique Constant has embraced the significance of professional padel by taking on the roles of Official Timekeeper and Official Watch of the PPL. This partnership will provide visibility for the brand during PPL broadcasts and events, featuring branded match clocks, serve countdowns, and other integrated elements.
A limited-edition watch branded with the PPL logo is also on track to be launched later this year.
