TimeVallée, an innovative luxury watch retail concept launched by Richemont in 2014, has inaugurated its first store in Cairo, marking a significant expansion in its international presence.

This new outlet is part of a growing global network that now surpasses 50 locations, predominantly concentrated in Asia, with an increasing footprint in Europe and North America.

Historically, Egypt’s luxury watch sector has been underdeveloped. Currently, Rolex operates only two outlets within the country, while prestigious brands such as Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet do not have a presence at all.

The latest TimeVallée store is situated in Downtown Katameya, a bustling commercial and corporate hub of Cairo. This impressive retail space encompasses nearly 2,500 square feet on a single level, showcasing a selection of luxury brands including Baume & Mercier, Cartier, IWC Schaffhausen, Jaeger-LeCoultre, and Panerai.

In addition to the retail area, the store features a private VIP salon for tailored consultations and an on-site watchmaker, enabling customers to receive quick adjustments and repairs.

The operation of the store is undertaken by Nile Projects, a major Egyptian conglomerate with a broad portfolio that includes over 200 outlets spanning fashion, food, and furniture, as well as substantial interests in real estate.

Ahmed El Naggar, vice chairman and CEO of Nile Projects, commented, “For more than two decades, Nile Projects has been dedicated to shaping and elevating the luxury retail experience in Egypt. Our expansion into luxury watchmaking marks a significant milestone in this journey, further strengthening our commitment to offering exceptional customer experiences and bringing some of the world’s finest Maisons closer to our customers. The opening of TimeVallée introduces a new chapter for luxury timepieces in the Egyptian market, and we believe this is only the beginning of what promises to be an exciting future.”

Hélène Maslin, who recently assumed the role of CEO at TimeVallée, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion, stating, “It’s always a thrill for TimeVallée to introduce our retail concept to a new market. Our partnership with Nile Projects is key to connecting with local clientele and celebrating Egypt’s passion for fine watchmaking.”
