Full Story
Insurance broker TH March has announced a new collaboration with ValuCert, a digital platform, aimed at enhancing the way retailers engage with customers post-purchase. This initiative, in partnership with the National Association of Jewellers (NAJ), emphasizes the importance of the entire ownership experience, which encompasses aspects such as insurance, maintenance, and eventual asset replacement.
The two organisations have highlighted a significant challenge faced by retailers: the frequent breakdown of communication with customers following the completion of a sale. This disconnect often results in missed chances to foster ongoing relationships during the entire lifecycle of ownership.
The partnership seeks to bridge this gap by integrating expert valuations and comprehensive digital records with tailored insurance solutions, thereby creating a seamless ownership experience for customers. Christopher Stoner, the founder of ValuCert, remarked on the industry’s focus on making sales, stating: “We spend a huge amount of time in the jewellery and watch industry thinking about the next sale. But what happens after the customer leaves the showroom? In many cases, the retailer who originally sold that piece loses contact with the customer and the asset almost immediately. That feels like one of the biggest missed opportunities in our industry.”
Through this collaboration, TH March and ValuCert aim to provide retailers with tools that empower them to maintain customer engagement and build long-term relationships, enhancing the overall customer experience in the jewellery and watch sectors.
