Favre Leuba is significantly revitalising its brand under Silvercity Brands and the guidance of Patrik Hoffman. The Swiss watchmaker, which has a rich heritage dating back to 1737, is focusing on producing high-quality timepieces priced between CHF 2,000 and 4,000, filling a gap left by larger competitors such as Breitling.
The highlight of its 2024 revival is anticipated to be the Deep Raider Revival collection, which closely mirrors a trailblazing dive watch from the mid-1960s.
Recently, the collection has been expanded with a new model inspired by the distinctive orange Bathy 160, first introduced in the 1970s. This bold colour choice is a purposeful reference to Favre Leuba’s historical use of orange in dive watches during the crucial era of professional diving, a time when underwater visibility could determine life or death.
The new timepiece features a grey sunray dial with orange accents on the hands, which are also illuminated for enhanced readability. Accompanying the watch is a fabric strap in a matching orange hue, with the option to replace it with a 5-link steel bracelet that showcases Favre Leuba’s characteristic triangular links.
Encased in stainless steel, the watch dimensions are 39mm by 12.75mm and it houses the FLD01 automatic movement, derived from the La Joux Perret LJP G100, offering an impressive 68-hour power reserve.
Currently available for purchase, this model is priced at £2,500 or $3,200.
