Prestons Group has unveiled plans for a £7 million investment aimed at significantly expanding its Rolex boutique located in Victoria Gate, Leeds. This development will see the retailer double its current space and introduce an upper floor to the boutique.

Construction is anticipated to commence in late 2026, with the project expected to reach completion by October 2027. Throughout this period, the Rolex by Prestons boutique will remain operational at its current location.

In 2021, the retailer submitted a proposal to establish a new Rolex Sales and Authorised Service Centre, which will incorporate two additional units on the ground floor as well as the entire first floor, which was formerly occupied by Le Pain Quotidien.

Karl Massey, managing director of Prestons, noted, “Our partnership with Rolex continues to take our business to new heights and this additional space will treble the area we currently enjoy. Rolex have designed a boutique which will feature their latest materials and store design, the perfect showcase for the Rolex collection.”

Victoria Gate is situated in the eastern part of Leeds city centre and serves as a retail hub, anchored by a John Lewis department store and hosting various brands such as COS, & Other Stories, and Anthropologie. Since its opening in 2019, the Rolex boutique has attracted considerable foot traffic, and the increased showroom space is expected to enhance its appeal further. Rachel Bradburn, head of leasing at Redical, the shopping centre’s managing entity, expressed her support for the expansion, stating, “The investment being made to upsize the store is extremely welcome.”

Bradburn also highlighted the significance of the expansion as a testament to Prestons’ successful relationship with the Rolex brand, underscoring Leeds’ growing stature as a prime shopping destination in the UK. “We fully endorse this expansion and are proud to support our retailers in increasing their presence across our destinations,” she added.

Once completed, the revamped boutique will span 6,770 square feet across two levels, featuring retail space, private consultation rooms, a dedicated lounge and bar area, and an accredited Rolex Authorised Service Centre staffed by trained Rolex technicians. This development is part of the broader Prestons Group portfolio, which includes showrooms in Guildford, Norwich, and Wilmslow, all of which specialise in Rolex and RCPO watches.
