Indies.NYC, a specialised event focused on independent watchmaking, is set to return to New York City in 2026 with two exclusive gatherings. This initiative, founded in 2024 by Belgian collector Jon Cruys, will host its events on May 4 and October 15 at a private venue in Hudson Yards.
Positioned as a more intimate alternative to larger trade exhibitions, such as the upcoming Watches and Wonders, Indies.NYC will accommodate approximately 350 attendees at each gathering. This format fosters meaningful engagement between watch collectors and artisans, providing a unique opportunity to appreciate niche horology in a personal environment.
The event has continued to expand, adding two new brands to the lineup since last year, bringing the total to ten distinct watchmakers. Participants will include notable names such as Andreas Strehler, Frédéric Jouvenot, Samuel Gillioz, Art of Arion, Breva, Dan Royter, Machiel Hulsman, Ondřej Berkus, Zavorine, and Zeitwinkel.
For the first time, a panel discussion will be integrated into the event, with further details to be announced in the lead-up to the gatherings. The October 15 session is expected to align with New York Watch Week, which will also feature the WindUp Watch Fair and WatchTime, with the participating brands set to be revealed in September.
Jon Cruys remarked, “It is a rare opportunity to meet these remarkable creators in person, witness their artistry up close in a cosy, home-like setting. Expect some good music and good people, too!”
Admission to Indies.NYC is free, with registration available online.
