TAG Heuer has unveiled a new edition of its Connected Calibre E5 watch, collaborating with Formula 1 to bring the spirit of the racetrack to wearers.

Originally launched in October 2025, the updated model introduces a variety of exclusive features inspired by the iconic Formula 1 championship. This release comes on the heels of TAG Heuer’s reinstatement as the official timekeeper for F1, a role that reaffirms its deep-rooted connection to motorsport.

The Formula 1 edition is designed to provide enhanced functionality specifically tailored for racing enthusiasts. Among its standout features is the innovative “Race Track” watch face, which automatically adjusts for each Grand Prix weekend, showcasing the track layout, national flag, and the name of the race. Throughout the season, users will enjoy a selection of 24 distinct designs, reflecting the complete Formula 1 schedule.

Additionally, the watch incorporates the official Formula 1 app, granting access to real-time schedules, results, and championship standings directly from the FIA. Smart widgets facilitate instant notifications, ensuring fans are updated on every practice session, qualifying round, and race.

In terms of performance, while the previous Connected Calibre E5 offered fitness tracking and dual-band GNSS capabilities, this special edition enhances the experience with custom sounds and notifications reminiscent of pit-wall communications, thus deepening the connection for motorsport aficionados.

The aesthetic of the watch also sets it apart from its predecessor. It features a robust 45mm Grade 2 titanium case, coated in black DLC, and showcases design elements reflective of racing culture, including a bezel that represents the various phases of a Grand Prix weekend. Accents of red, a prominent F1 logo on the case back, and sport-focused straps emphasise the motorsport theme.
