Norqain has unveiled the Adventure Chrono 41mm NHL Limited Edition, marking a significant moment in its long-term collaboration with the National Hockey League (NHL), announced in 2024. This partnership establishes Norqain within the ranks of one of the most prestigious and challenging sports leagues globally.
The Adventure Chrono NHL Limited Edition expands upon the brand’s previous chronograph designs, notably the initial Adventure Chrono that signalled Norqain’s commitment to resilient, sport-oriented timepieces. This latest model features a bolder aesthetic, with distinct nods to the sport of ice hockey evident throughout its design elements.
Housed in a 41mm stainless steel case, the watch is powered by the Norqain calibre N17, a mechanical automatic chronograph movement that offers a remarkable 62-hour power reserve and is based on the Sellita SW500 platform. It boasts a water resistance of up to 100 metres and includes a unidirectional rotating bezel with a black aluminium ring.
The watch dial is designed to reflect the texture of an ice rink, showcasing a white ‘scratched ice’ appearance. Positioned at 9 o’clock is a face-off circle counter that features a small seconds display adorned with crossed hockey sticks, while black sub-dials can be found at 6 and 12 o’clock, with the NHL logo prominently displayed at 6 o’clock. Additionally, a pulsometer scale, complete with a time-out symbol at the 200 mark, further highlights its sporting inspiration.
A distinctive addition to this model is a screw-down crown highlighted with red accents, and it is presented on a black rubber strap made from actual hockey puck material.
Limited in production, each timepiece is inscribed with the phrase ‘Limited edition, one of 1917,’ alongside the NHL logo on the sapphire caseback.
