Full Story
Cartier is preparing to launch a significant retail venture in the United States with a new three-story boutique located on Rodeo Drive, a renowned luxury shopping destination in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.
This development marks an important expansion for the French jeweller and watchmaker, positioning the Rodeo Drive boutique as what the brand describes as its fourth “Temple,” following flagship stores in Paris, London, and New York.
Originally approved by local authorities in 2018, the project has encountered multiple delays and revisions. The latest plans feature a striking three-storey retail space contained within a 45-foot high building, complete with VIP rooms and an outdoor terrace, receiving final approval in March 2025.
Set to open its doors in 2027, Cartier’s flagship will complement the luxury shopping landscape on Rodeo Drive, which includes three-storey stores for Rolex and Patek Philippe, inaugurated by Geary’s in 2024 and 2025, and a shared rooftop terrace. Other prestigious brands along the avenue include Piaget, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Panerai, Grand Seiko, Vacheron Constantin, IWC, and Audemars Piguet.
The Rodeo Drive store will become Cartier’s second-largest outlet in the United States, further enhancing the brand’s direct presence in the American luxury market. In the past year, Cartier has also opened a boutique at Fontainebleau Las Vegas in June 2025, launched a new store in Palm Beach, Florida, and completed an expansion of its showroom in Miami’s Design District.
Currently, Cartier restricts its watch sales to a global network of authorised retail partners, while its jewellery can only be purchased at its in-house boutiques.
