Christopher Ward has collaborated once again with Worn & Wound to unveil the C12 Brooklynite, a limited edition of 100 timepieces that pays homage to the iconic Williamsburg Savings Bank Tower in Brooklyn.
The watch will be officially introduced at the upcoming Windup Watch Fair in New York City, scheduled for 2025.
Drawing inspiration from Christopher Ward’s GPHG-nominated C12 Loco, the Brooklynite reflects the architectural grandeur of the historic tower, which was the tallest building in Brooklyn for eight decades. Its champagne-hued textured dial, vertical raised details, and diamond-shaped patterns parallel the limestone exterior and elaborate Art Deco design of the tower.
Crowning this elegant design is a sapphire crystal dial, painted to complement the textured surface beneath. It is adorned with luminous black markers and a chapter ring featuring raised five-minute increments, which combines clarity with dimensionality.
At the heart of the watch lies Christopher Ward’s proprietary calibre CW-003. This movement, which features a visible free-sprung balance wheel on the dial side, operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, providing chronometer-level precision of +0/-7 seconds per day and an impressive six-day power reserve. Cantilevered bridges can be admired through the case back.
The 41mm stainless steel case, distinguished by its 12-sided bezel, is available with both a stainless steel bracelet and a black rubber strap for added versatility.
With only 100 units available, the C12 Brooklynite is priced at $4,995 / £3,995 / €5,205. A limited batch of 30 will be exclusively sold at the Windup Watch Fair NYC from October 17 to 19, with additional pieces available on christopherward.com starting from October 24.
